The women behind Jeanne d'Arc Living

We are two perky women in the prime of our lives, and together we have started the business Jeanne d'Arc Living.

We are both married and have children, house and garden in the country. We have been so fortunate to be able to make a career out of our hobby, in such a short time. 4 years ago we started making articles to Danish and foreign children-, interior- and lifestyle magazines. The articles were about everything from in-depth garden articles, interior decor, activity articles for families with children, shopping pages, events and today we also make complete home decor articles. Our niche and greatest passion is the Nordic country style with a hint of inspiration from the French. We have made articles about furniture makeover and also ideas for exciting and different do-it-yourself projects in the home and in the garden. Lonnie is the photographer and Vivian decorates and writes most of the articles. Over 3.5 years, we have regularly had pages in each issue of the beautiful Norwegian magazine "Vakre hjem og Interiør" plus the job as agony aunt. Now we have gone solo, and started our own magazine here in Denmark.

A lot of people have through the last few years asked us for advice and asked us to decorate their homes in the French country style. Therefore we wrote a book, a so called primer, where we show how to decorate a homes in the French country style - right here in the Nordic. The book was published in May 2007 and was really well received. As a naturally successor we made a book, where we showed how to decorate your garden. It was published in February 2008. In September 2008 our Christmas book was published.

The concept Jeanne d'Arc, also includes wholesale of our own products which we designed. This gradually started in the spring of 2005 by producing cards with our own pictures. The cards have their own style and mood - something we felt was missing on the card market. In May 2007 we started our wholesale business in the form you see it today. All of our products are in the French country style. Our goal is to supply as much as possible of the things you need to decorate your home in the right country style. All products are either our own designs or reproductions of older things. We are still trying to make the perfect patina on the products, so they get as authentic as possible.
